CLOSING CEREMONY AND DEACTIVATION OF EXERCISE PELICAN SERIES 38/2019

MUARA, Thursday, 07 November 2019 – EXERCISE PELICAN Series 38/2019 (EX PELICAN) Closing Ceremony was held onboard the Republic of Singapore Navy's (RSN) RSS TENACIOUS involving officers and personnel from all participating ships from The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and RSN. Task Group 40.1 was also officially deactivated by Lieutenant Colonel Michael Chan, The Commanding Officer RSS TENACIOUS.  

During EX PELICAN Closing Ceremony, Commander Hj Edy Jofren bin PDP DP Hj Abdul Jalil, the Acting Commanding Officer KDB DARUSSALAM delivered a closing remark which was then continued with gifts and plaques exchanges between all commanding officers of participating ships. The closing ceremony was concluded with a group photo taking session at the flight deck of RSS TENACIOUS.

RSN participating ships – RSS TENACIOUS, RSS VALOUR and RSS VIGOUR were given a very memorable farewell by RBN officers and personnel before their departure back to The Republic of Singapore. This was a successful bilateral naval exercise which marked its 40th anniversary engagement between RBN and RSN since its inception in 1979 and it was also the first ever bilateral exercise conducted by RBN since its formation in 1965. EX PELICAN Series 38/ 2019 RBN and RSN was held from Sunday to Thursday, 03 to 07 November 2019.
